The standards environment around advanced robots is becoming more specific. New ISO work now addresses dynamically stable industrial mobile robots, including bipedal systems, while updated safety requirements for service robots are approaching final approval.
At the same time, ISO is developing a dedicated framework for humanoid robot datasets covering the full dataset lifecycle, including quality, security and privacy requirements.
These developments do not yet create one universal standard for humanoid robot resale. But they show a clear direction: robot trust is expanding beyond visible condition and basic functionality toward documented safety, configuration, data and lifecycle context.

Global discussions around restrictions and bans on certain robotics manufacturers are intensifying.
While policy attempts to reduce risk by controlling origin, it does not address the core issue:
What can a system actually do, and who controls it?
Trust cannot be determined by geography alone.
It must be established through verifiable insight into the system itself.
Verification is not a layer.
It is the only reliable form of control in a distributed robotics landscape.
